In July Mum & Dad travelled to New Zealand via Kuala Lumpur to visit Hazel.
We saw her house in Christchurch,
we stayed at the Pacific Park Hotel attached to Speights Alehouse (Hazel works there in the evenings at weekends),
we had our first meal with her (an elaborate French meal with "elo, elo" scenes between courses) in Riccarton House
we visited the Antartic Expedition Centre (and experienced the Hagglund snowcat ride),
Orana Wildlife Park (Hazel's day job - see Roger in the cage 'feeding' the lions?),
we saw the Franz Joseph Glacier (travelling via the TransAlpine express and then coach),
we saw Helms Deep (on a Lord of the Rings Tour),
we visited the Thermal Village at Rotorua (where we saw the mud pools and a Maori concert),
and the Gloworm Caves at Waitomo.
