Fringe Benefits

Booking very late because of uncertainty regarding Nana's stay at hospital, we found a family room for two nights available near the Pleasance Venue where we had booked a few comedy show tickets - Potter Potter, Rhod Gilbert, Best of Festival, Mark Watson, Just-a-minute, Rocket Science. On Tuesday it rained pretty much all day but Wed & Thurs were warm and sunny.

Robin took the strain of poring over the literature and advertising to find shows that might be suitable for the four of us.

We decided to climb the Scott monument (287 steps) while the pipers were playing below.

We made it to the Tattoo performance area and the entrance to the castle, but did not have time to visit the castle itself.

Nana's home!

Surprise, surprise - on visiting Nana "for the last time" before our mini holiday we were told that if we waited a few minutes for tablets we could take her home.

It will take her a little while to settle in and learn how to drive her new powerlift chair - but she is overjoyed to be back in her own home.
