Slimmer of the week!

I don't think she really believes it so you may be forgiven for being a bit skeptical - but here is the evidence in black and - err - purple.

Famous For Five Minutes

This is a newspaper cutting which has just 'come to light' after many years from the Lowestoft Journal dating from the time when I was an undergraduate
and when I was famous for five minutes for playing Right Back at Hockey for Lowestoft Town (Second Team)

Kiwi Konundrum

Having inadvertently "thrown the baby out with the bathwater" or the "peeler with the peelings" and admitted the same to my daughter who provided me with the original, she has now graciously provided me with no less than three replacements. I suppose I should do some kind of scientific experiment to find out which is best.

Oliver PhD

First there was the celebration meal at the Cedars
Unfortunately the first choice from the menu was 'off' for some,
but we still had a good time
The next day was the day of the graduation ceremony.
Oliver ought to have been the first name called
but there was a stray engineer left over from the day before

Oliver's Mum & Dad do not speak English
so they were brought over from Canada by Oliver's sister
Sandwiches and strawberries were provided by the department in a marquee
and afterwards an attempt was made to capture the class of 2010
[The rest of the pictures (mixed quality) can be found in this album]

And finally here is "Oliver, the Movie" (short version)...
