Birthdays

Mum's hairdresser had recommended "Chilli 'n' Spice" in Swannington for a good Indian meal so we gave it a try on her birthday.

To celebrate Peter's birthday (the next day) we travelled back in time on the Great Central Steam railway from Loughborough to Leicester

and had dinner on board (sorbet, soup, rack of lamb, cheescake/chocolate cake, cheese)

The train stops on the reservoir bridge during the main course

and on the return journey in the dark there is a station stop lit by gaslight and intrepid passengers are welcome to explore the engine footplate
