We were invited by Lion President Jenny to the 39th Charter Anniversary Lunch at the Quorn Country Hotel.
It turns out their idea of lunch lasts from 12:30 to 4:00pm! There was entertainment though - a group of young female singers called "Enchanted" and someone who was well known to us, who also sat at our table - Hilary Ayling - who performed a few of her Joyce Grenfell monologues.
