Well we thought we were going to Bolsover Castle to take advantage of our English Heritage membership, but according to the locals we went to Boser.

In days gone by one would arrive by carriage, climb the steps

and pause to take in the view

of the endless traffic on the M1
(sorry, the beautiful Derbyshire countryside - Scarsdale)

After it stopped being a fortress the castle was bought by the Cavendish family and part of it used for training horses - the dressage sort of thing - including a special jump called a Capriole

Although the Easter weekend was unusually warm, today was not
and so one might ask, "Does my bum look numb...?"

I don't think it was as cold as our Easter weekend at Franz Josef glacier! :)
